Chapter 1
The wolves of Arkane have divided. Those with and those without. Entire packs have crumpled, and those without powers are seeing their worst fears realized. These devil creatures are joining up, falling in love, becoming the new top predator on the island of Arkane. Messengers are sent between the few "pure" wolf packs remaining. But there is nothing to be done. What can fangs and claws do against fire, flight, and all the devilish powers these creatures possess?
When all hope seems lost, a stranger appears.
"We are the Insanctum. We are here to help."
The Insanctum promise to rid Arkane of all wolves with powers. Mutations. Strange, otherworldly aspects held only by these demons. Their price is simple. The heart of the island, a slice of territory where their kind may live in peace. The leaders of the normal packs find themselves agreeing. The stranger is so reasonable. How can they disagree?
